Order-by dates for prom 2027
HappyProm dresses are all made to order. In busy season, making takes 25–30 working days and shipping takes 3–5 working days, which is about seven weeks. We recommend two extra weeks, so you have time for any changes or delays. Check your own school’s prom date, then use this table.

1. Choose your style
The 2027 looks mix structure and softness. These show up most across UK boutiques and designer previews:
- Corset bodices, with more modern, comfortable shaping.
- Chocolate brown and espresso, alongside hot pinks, jewel tones and soft pastels.
- 3D florals and textured sparkle in place of all-over glitter.
- Fuller skirts, including tiered and waterfall ruffles.
- Statement backs, high slits and halter necklines.
- Champagne and liquid-metallic fabrics.
You don’t need to follow every trend. Pick one or two details you love and keep the rest simple. For the full rundown, read prom dress trends 2027, or see every trend category in our prom dress trends guide.

2. Get the fit right
Every HappyProm dress is made to your measurements, with free custom sizing. We generally need your bust, waist, hips and height with your shoes on. If your dress has sleeves, or you have a special request, we’ll ask for a few more details. We add 2–3 cm of extra room to every dress, so give us your actual body measurements.
Between sizes? For a standard-size dress, order the larger size: a tailor can take a dress in more easily than let it out. Or skip the guesswork: at HappyProm, custom sizing is free on every dress, so you can give us your measurements instead.

3. Buy with confidence
Buying online gives you far more choice, but you can’t try the dress on first, so a little checking helps.

- What to check before you pay: see buying a prom dress online in the UK and how to check if a prom dress website is legit.
- Returns: because each HappyProm dress is made to your measurements, we can’t accept returns for a change of mind. If we make a mistake, such as the wrong size, colour or style, email us within 7 days of receiving your dress and we’ll put it right. Changes before we start making your dress are free.
4. Plan the night

5. Budget
Prom costs add up, from the dress to tickets, transport, hair and makeup. Our UK prom cost guide breaks it down, and prom dress alterations and what they cost covers the extra most people forget. A dress made to your measurements usually needs fewer changes than an off-the-peg one.
